I cannot enable my rangers pet in PvP 6 days in a row now.
i write like 5 bug reports but get no answers.
anyone knows anything about it?

I have the fix. Just go underwater and set your pets from there. Annoying
I know which is why I bug reported it. I’d say best solution in the future is let us open up the pet selection window even when our pet is stowed

is there any underwater place in pvp? in pve i have my pets but in pvp they cant be activated

i did the go in water in pve and set normal pets and go in hotm resolution but it dont changed nothing

I played WoW for years and never once did I have an issue go unresolved more that 48 hours. More often than not support contacted me in game and fixed what was wrong. I was one person with a problem unique to me and it got solved quickly. This is a problem affecting many, many people and NOTHING from support. That WoW expansion is looking better and better lately.

I still have this issue. I have had this issue since Friday. I have submitted MULTIPLE bug reports. I did not receive a single reply from Guild Wars 2 – NOTHING AT ALL – regarding this. And trust me, I’ve checked everything – my email address is correct, and the replies are in none of my folders and not in my junk mail, they just don’t exist. I find this incredibly frustrating and annoying. My main toon is unplayable. I paid for this game because I’d heard the devs care about the game and the players – and what is this? They expect me to buy the expansion as well when this is going on? I’m coming in from Neverwinter, and at least they don’t even bother pretending they care – and they send you an automated message to let you know they got your bug report!

Another ranger here unable to use pets in pvp. Anet seriously need to fix this bug as I mostly play as ranger in pvp yet can’t really use it because of this. It’s strange though because pets work on my other ranger, just not this one, but changing my power ranger’s build isn’t really something I want to do in order to play my favored build. Please talk to us anet! I sent in a bug report yesterday about it so hopefully they’ll realise it’s becoming a serious issue among rangers!

Here I am thinking it was just me. I’ve reported it, but have got no response from anet about the issue. I’ve asked other players in PvP if they was having the same issue, I’ve been told no every time. I see other Rangers using their pets, so whats the deal? Is this going to get fixed, or do I just stop playing PvP all together?

The suggested “fix” of going underwater in PvE has no effect for me.
Still unable to activate any pet in PvP.

No, ANET is refusing to let anyone know anything. The water trick doesn’t work either. Nobody has gotten a response back, not even from ANET’s automated system. This is horrible. I think us that use our Rangers as our main, for PvP, seriously deserve some compensation for this VERY VERY inconvenient situation. I die trying to fight these other Rangers who do have their pets. It makes everything more difficult. My guild has always prefer me on my Ranger, and count on it, as well as I do too. This has been too long with no response, and I don’t want to start on another character. So please, let us know something.

Did Arenanet solve the Scaled Drake bug or they don’t care at all?

I think they must do sth about the people that pass a week and more without their pets when beta weekend buff is on and so. but of course its impossible,they dont give any explanation and i think they’re not on to fix it. I get some automessages from the bug report mails ive send but if u screw up like this one u must make a real statement not a robotic automessage one.

It has literally been over a week.
I couldn’t really enjoy the beta weekend boost as it is impossible to have a fair chance in PVP when you don’t have your pet. You’re literally handicapping your entire team.
Sent two bug reports, still didn’t even get an automated message.
I REFUSE to make a new character (ranger is my main, oldest character, spent style tickets on, soulbound items etc – so unless I get the gems / gold / age stats back, hell no).
This is not okay and not at all what I expect from Arenanet!

can you fix this bug please my activation button for my berserker ranger valley of the mist doesn’t activate either, whilst i have no problem at all on my main ranger djynn tm.

I don’t know what to do, i use my zerker ranger for pvp and now i can’t use her, been in this situatation for atleast a week now.

After the complete lack of a response concerning the missing pet for rangers in PVP and the numerous bug reports that have been filed and ignored, I will not give you more of my money.
My main character is unplayable in PVP. As I’ve said before, if this were WoW, my problem would have been solved in less than 48 hours and I would have spoken to a GM. Customer service matters.

Finally received an automated reply from Anet regarding this issue; they stated that they are aware of the issue and working on it.

I hope they will compensate us in some way for being unable to use our characters for close to a week! (More than a week for some ppl)

Also taking more than a week to respond is a complete embarrassment for them, I hope they know that.

I suppose that they send that automessage to any bug report that they claim as “yes,this is a bug we think”
I get that message 6 days ago then I reply something to it and i get the same automessage as an answer to my reply
Automessages are not enough at this point

I STILL CANT USE MY PET IN PVP. THIS IS STUPID.

I can’t bring him out, and when I press K the pet window doesn’t even pop up.

Oh wait I tried that spectate thing, it worked. But that’s stupid that I had to do that in the first place D;

Not game breaking but irritating. I only have half my pets, my first pet disappears every time I enter HoTM or start a match. Luckily I can re-add it from the pet menu, but it’s irritating to do so every match. If I forget, I end up with a pet I can’t swap and can’t revive.

This worked for me too! Not sure if it’s a permanent fix but it works for now so definitely try this!!!! Pressing K on the other ranger came up with the pet management although all the writing in the panel was gone, but after choosing pets and leaving, it was working

Like everyone else, I agree its utterly ridiculous that we needed to figure out how to do this ourselves. Ive been stuck doing bits and pieces trying to learn to use other classes for pvp for over a week, with my main being completely broken.

The mind boggles how Anet are not able to fix this. Whats going to happen to people whos pets get bugged in the future from this bug, once threads like this are dead n buiried. Theres still plenty of ppl oout there missing thier pets Anet. FIX THIS!

Thank you, this worked for me, also. I’m still holding Anet accountable for a) failing to respond, b) letting the bug go on for over a week and c) failing to come up with a workaround themselves.

Note after using this method to regain access to my pets, I am still having trouble on occasion. One of the pets will unequip itself sometimes. I havnt caught exactly when its happening yet. The first time was when I first logged in for the day. The second time i only noticed when I tried to switch pets after the match had started.

Im now keeping an eye on it, and ill try and catch if it happens when entering or exiting a match, or somewhere in between.

Might pay for ppl to just have a quick look before a match starts to make sure you have 2 pets.

Still no pet in pvp.It’s been 10 days.

I’m guessing will have to wait for HoT to release. It’s not something that they want to say to us. It started when they got the new pets on the pet list. So once they’re available are pets will be too. I clicked on the unreleased pets and a little while after I was locked out. I don’t blame them HoT is really close and they just don’t have time to deal with any poop. Especially when it can be fixed by them releasing HoT. (if that’s the case)

I do not know petemet activated , the Ranger pvp area two weeks ago. 2 weeks ago!!!!! I have been a signal failure , but nothing. I am pre adder , but it did not seem worth it ! Anet gg !

I have a problem with my ranger, I can t activate my pets in PvP mode (all mode), the F4 key does not appear and the button “active pet” does not work, I have no problems in PvE instead …

This have happened to me as well. In PvP the pet menu is gone, and in Tyria it’s there. Can’t seem to activate it no matter what I do in PvP.

Same here, every time i load up my 2nd pet is gone and i go into a match with 1 pet -__-
