Let me preface by saying that I’m new to this game and forum, and I’m not entirely sure if this is the right forum section to post this or if this is even considered a bug. Please feel free to redirect me if I’m wrong, thanks!

I know that some pets are only terrestrial and can’t go into water. But I’m a ranger and my starter pet is a snow leopard, and no matter what pet I’m using, every time I go underwater my snow leopard takes the place of whatever pet I had out.

For example, I equip my marsh drake and swim underwater at Lion’s Arch, and my marsh drake has been replaced by my snow leopard, even though the marsh drake is amphibious. It also happens everywhere- this isn’t specific to just one location.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there something I have to adjust to fix this?

Hello Kydox and welcome to Guild Wars 2,

what you’re experiencing is perfectly fine, pets are managed seperately for land and underwater.

I’ve marked the slots for underwater pets in the attached screenshot.

Also, if you want to do anything to take a closer look at your underwater pets, you must be underwater to do so. (changing pets can be done above water, but if you wanted to name them for whatever reason, you must do so underwater)
