Ranger pet signet bug
This bug still exists and has a big impact on signet builds – would be good to have a fix.
i don’t think they could have kittened this game up any worse with this patch.

I remember the signets as being permanent on pets before, like on the Ranger, not having a constant cooldown renewal like now.

You would think it would be permanent as it would be one less thing per pet/per ranger that the hamster driven servers would have to keep track of… but no.
And I just tested it and the incoming pet is butt-kitten naked regarding the signets. And he’s also kitten-out of luck regarding Opening Strike too. So if your 2nd pet comes into play after the “server apply pets passives interval”, he’ll just be naked until the next interval kicks. And when you’re in combat (particularly WvW) and your main pet dies, and then you call his backup… don’t be too surprise if he insta-dies, because he’s got no signet passives or Opening Strike for several seconds. WOW!
From the jacked up AI to the inconsistent F2 behavior to the lack of ability to hot key certain pet functions (Stow/Activate Pet, Avoid Combat/Guard) to incorrect/un-updated tool tips… Pets are a HIDEOUS ABOMINATION in gw2 imo. It’s a decent enough concept, but not well designed and even worse regarding the implementation and maintenance. Can we get a re-design?
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this new bug shows up on the very patch that fixed the passive states. (QA anybody?) And based on the fact that it took a month to “fix” the passive state not being functional, I’d gauge this most recent pet related “issue” to be fixed sometime between hell freezing over and never. Heaven help us when HoT goes live. :/
EDIT: Speaking of Stow/Activate pet… the same delay issue with the pet not getting signets and Opening Strike occurs as well if you have your pet stowed and then activate him.
The “R” in Ranger apparently stands for Rodney Dangerfield

This bug is still with us, and I suspect casual players who play open world probably don’t realise that this is not working, and just find that their build isn’t working as well as before, as their pet is slower and dies faster due to lack of regeneration or toughness from the signets.
Should have high priority for a fix in my opinion.
