Rank Emote Bug?

When we used to rank, it would place the flag about 4 or 5 ft in front of us, and drop the rank emote down. Now it drops it down on top of our heads. Is this a glitch for just me? Ever since the newest major update last Tuesday, it has been like this. Here are a couple screenshots.

You did it at the edge of one section that meets another. Can you replicate this is you do it in an open grassy area?
