Bought a rare unidentified dye today expecting to get a rare but i got a fine (blue) dye.

Is this supposed to happen or is this a bug?

I got a “Silt Dye” out of it.

Unidentified dyes can give you any dye from fine to rare.

as description says – you can get either common or uncommon or rare dye and i think rare dyes have lowest probability among those 3.

Sounds like one of the dyes Chefs can craft, they are of “rare” quality, not like the ordinary dropped unidentified dyes, but yes, the description on those also states that they will give you either an uncommon or a rare dye (no commons) despite being of rare quality…
