Recipe: Gift of Blades (Leatherworker)
You probably double clicked the recipe inside your inventory menu instead of inside the bank inventory menu. It happens :p

No dude I double clicked it from bank tab and that character isn’t even a leatherworker..
Every character can ‘use’ a recipe as long as he/she hasn’t unlocked it. You don’t need to be a Jewelcrafter to unlock a Jewelcrafting recipe. Even when the requirement level is (for example) 250. Happens to me some time as well, so beware.
General tip: better drag recipes towards your bank and do not double click!
I did it worst. I’m used to craft Elonian on my Huntsman crafter, then i teach the Leatherwork recipe to her. -.-
You probably double click it in “inventory window” and not in “left inventory bank window”. I have double clicked a lot of items in Left-Inventory Bank Window, and I haven’t consumed it. Ranges from recipe, essence of luck, food, karma pot, boosters, etc.
And no matter what I do, I can’t consume stuff in Left Inventory Bank Window.
also, to check if your character indeed get it, just learn Leatherworker in that character. If you already have 2 crafting professions, you have to disable one (don’t worry, it wont reset to Lv1, it will just be inactive). Look at your recipes, it’s probably listed as “Red font” and wolah, mystery solve.

Even on the bank window, if you double click a non-collectible item (such as a recipe) with the collections tab open it will consume items instead of depositing them.

Cheaper to talk to the vendor and see if it says your character already knows the recipe.

Oh, I didn’t know the vendor tells you that now. It used to not tell if you have recipe or not, cause I once bought double recipes :/

The vendor doesn’t but the recipe item itself does when you hover over it. It has done that for as long as I can remember.
