Guild Wars 2

Error code: 14:4:5:1082:101, every 30 to 40 minutes. I can’t play at all. Pls help

This is quite a rare code, I believe, and may be related to a problem with your wireless adapter, though I’m not sure if it is software or hardware related.

If you are able to connect directly to your modem/router/switch then that is one way to resolve this as the issue should not come up again as you wouldn’t be using the wireless card.

Otherwise, if you must use this wireless card:
What model is your wireless card?
What anti-virus software do you use?
Do you have any custom software installed for your wireless card other than windows drivers?
Do you use a firewall software other than Windows Firewall?

I’ve been getting some serious disconnecting issues as well since the new story patch, it’s gotten better after every little patch, but still a pain in the butt. I haven’t bothered paying attention to the code though because when it happens I generally am trying to get back into the game as quickly as possible. (It’s happened in the middle of big story quests…. I wish that horror upon no one…)

I NEVER had issues with this until the new patch, so I’m not willing to put all the blame on my internet/router just yet. Plus I generally call with people on skype when I play or listen to stuff on youtube, and 99% of the time when I lose connection to the game skype and/or youtube don’t even waver a little. GW2 is the ONLY thing that has been disconnecting.

I must agree with the guy above. I’ve been playing this game for 2 weeks with the same set of hardware and software, and the problem just appeared today. I also notice several other people get the same problem at relatively close time. Which convince me that it’s not my hard/ software that cause the problem, unless it’s a compatibility problem with the new patch, which is by all due respect, not my fault.

So if you have anyway to fix this that a person with limited technical skill can perform, pls help. Otherwise, pls fix your server, Thks

I’d like to help, but there is very little that can be done to possibly determine a resolution or workaround to your recently introduced issue without the requested information. Without that to possibly figure something out in the meantime, I guess you can only wait to see if ArenaNet fixes or makes a change to how some client-server information is handled that may be creating this connection loss issue. Though there are others with your specific error code that get this issue with other programs and games, so it does not seem to be a GW2 only issue. Because of this fact, I would not expect much resolution by way of just waiting for ArenaNet to fix it.
