My Replica Job-O-Tron no longer speaks and the description for the item no longer indicates that it talks. I did not find any changes to the Replica Job-O-Tron in the release notes. It’s a nice looking back item but a a major selling point, personally, was that it spoke. Is this a bug? Is this deliberate as part of the patch and the mistake was the exclusion from the release notes? If deliberate, will a gem refund be given to those who bought the item before the March 16, 2015 patch as it is a different item than initially advertised?

I think it’s related to the current voice bug with characters. Right now your character will say something that another character says across AN ENTIRE zone. Even if you’re not of the same race. Heck my human said “For the Imperator” and last I checked they were not a female Charr.

I’m hoping they fix this soon. I know some of the voice issues have been fixed, but my job-o-tron is still very quiet. I’ve heard ONE say something at the jungle worm world boss once since the patch, and mine said something yesterday when I transmuted it onto a higher level backpiece (“where were you keeping that?”) but then went silent again. I don’t mind if its silent when hidden (and I’ve tried hiding and unhiding it), but the point of spending actual money on it was the talking, which entertains me when I’m soloing zone completes, etc. I wouldn’t even mind if something was added that hushed it up during major events, much like minis get hidden if the population in an area gets too high, since having a ton of them all trying to talk could get crazy. But I’d like to hear its random chatter when I’m just running around the maps! Hoping this gets fixed soon since it is a cash bought item!

the backpack will start talking again if you remove and re-equip it. but once you change zones/instances/log off he will stop talking again. i’m upset, but what can you do.
