I tried to skin them on my guardian and it worked, was just seeing if I really unlocked them and I guess I did

Most likely a bug .. someone else here unlocked ALL the Mistforged weapons on his real account for free.

A.net need to fix this mess .. especially if they want to sell the Revenant armor via the GEM store while others like you got it for free.

I wouldn’t mind having to pay for the skins so they do have to fix this

For me it looks as if they use the same database for beta than we use for the life game.

So in the end they maybe need to use a procedure that deletes all that stuff from
the database whenever you login with a normal character now. Or they need
to create extra tables for the beta and use a union select over both tables for beta
chars.
