No matter where you are in a map of an spvp match you can hear someone ride the lightning and it sounds as if they are directly on top of you.

I also have this sound bug.
-I recall this happening on Skyhammer and Legacy of the Foefire, didn’t pay attention on other maps.
-This is a frequent sound bug, every other moment I scroll around to see any eles nearby and notice none are currently in my server.
-This sound bug started after the most recent patch (aug 20th)
-This happened while playing as a necro, warrior and guardian.

Hi Circuitnerd. Please help answer a few questions so this can be looked into:

Does this happen with a particular PvP map, or all PvP maps?

Does this happen with every match that you play in maps that are affected?

When did this start occurring?

What profession are you?

Can you confirm that there either is or is not another Elementalist in the map when this occurs?

It happens in all maps.

Yes all matches are affected.

This started with the patch on the 20th of August.

It happens with all professions I have played in SPvP. Engineer, Guardian and Thief

Yes, everytime there has been an elementalist or 2 on the map. Either enemy or ally.

I also just experienced the same in PVE. I was inside the Ascalon Settlement in the Gendarran Fields. There was an elementalist nearby but I’m not sure if he used ride the lightning. Nevertheless it was the exact same bug. Sounding as if they were directly on top of me. To me, it seems like any elementalist within the area. I recorded a clip of someone who helped me out to demonstrate the bug. The youtube link is listed below. Sorry for the visual quality.
