Right-click Use in inventory deletes items!
Was the bank open at the time? Right-click-Use when the bank vault is open will send the stack there. Check to see if they are now residing in the bank.

My fiance just now right-clicked on a stack of 250 Great Wintersday Bags and clicked “Use.” It opened 1 and deleted the rest. That should not happen.
