Is it just me cause i am unlucky ?

Almost all the time I either can’t get this to invite others to a grp by R.clicking the name in chat, or i can’t join a grp by R.clicking.

There are sometimes this works but 9 out of 10 it fails.

Is this because i have a long connection from a remote village in Alaska ? or am i missing some other thing.

Also, this is in same map on same server (not overflow).

It seems like the closer range you are to someone the more often it works?

I really don’t know, though. I have the same issue as you so I just started typing /invite (name here) to avoid the frustration.

yup, that works badly.
always have to type the full name like back in the ultima online days…

some obvious feature it always confuse me as to why anet didnt put them in.
i dont know about programming, so cant really judge.
but still… on a design standpoint only, it makes no sense.

Buggy here too…I’ve been having to open up the roster in the Guild Window to invite guildies to groups at times.
