Can you try to use the Dye Remover tool on all dye slots of the hat (if more than one) and save the changes. Then go back in and see if dying it to your liking will save.

That actually worked.
Used the dye remover on all three slots, saved it, then dyed it afterwards and it stayed. Odd that it wouldn’t let me dye it before unless I used the dye remover though.

The remove dye/re-dye trick normally fixes the problem when an item isn’t saving dye changes if it isn’t something more complex keeping it from dying properly.
