Hello, just wanted to make a quick post about a little bug I noticed recently.

The original Rodgort animation that occurs when you weapon swap (in which the neck of the torch unfolds and it begins to breath fire) doesn’t work properly, and instead it cuts the uncurling animation in favor of just having the dragon breath fire.

Secondly, and this applies to both Rodgort and Frostfang (the only 2 I can check it with), the effects that make your characters arms either engulf in flame or encase in ice are removed during combat. After combat I usually have to swap my weapons to have them reoccur, or else they just wont be there despite having both weapons unsheathed.

Tested this on my Ranger with both Rodgort & Frostfang out
Killed roughly 30 foes, couldn’t get the bug to appear.
(Both arms had their effects before, during, and after combat)

The bug with Rodgorts neck does happen though x___x

At least most of the cool effects are not gone like Howler. The nighttime effect doesn’t work at all anymore, the howl sound effect is covered by the main horn sound and way too low, the mist doesn’t appear all the time, the wolf image is covered by the original skill animations and an the foot prints hardly ever show and only 2 steps at a time when they do..

PLEASE ANET FIX THIS.

I have experienced this issue with dual wielding Frostfang equipped on my warrior. It doesn’t happen all the time but I noticed it happened on two occasions. Once after killing a mob I noticed that my arms didn’t have the ice effect anymore and sheathing / unsheathing would not bring it back. It would only return the ice effect after weapon swapping. The second time it happened in HotM.. didn’t kill any enemies that time. I was simply running to the TP NPC and noticed I had no ice blocks on my arms.

It’s still in this section of the forum. Someone from ANet took the trouble to move the “Howler Fix” thread from General Discussion in here too and merge it with your thread. And yet they still weren’t courteous enough to actually respond to the points made in either thread. Just unbelievable really.

Yeah I had to look at my account posts to find it. I do hope being in the bug section helps the process along.. Here’s hoping :p

Did this ever get fixed? Still waiting to hear about Howler getting fixed but if they are giving a big middle finger to everyone who made a Legendary then they just don’t care about the players. This is a bad message they are sending out. I may take break from this game for a couple weeks. The frustration is too much. I’ve just been logging on for my dailies anyway.
