Root/dodge bug destroying pvp
It’s because of this kitten skill que added in last patch. And for whatever reason dodge gets added to it.

+1. The option to customize or disable the skill queue completely would be ideal.
it´s not just annoying, it´s gamebreaking…
it´s not just wasting my energy, but also interrupting my heal so it goes on full cooldown
Did some tests on it now, also figured out that we can reproduce another bug where i can hit my friend during his dodgeroll (he is rootet at end of dodgeroll, best indicator to proof it), we can reproduce that with human reaction time, means the servers are horribly slow !

This indeed happens to me kittenedly often. To the point of getting trumped due to a wasted dodge + canceled whatever I was doing.
Throws you off your game as well.

Again, I support this because skill queue is killing me via confusion stacks and things of that nature or just wasting my endurance bar for something that I don’t want to use it for.
Game changing to say the least.
Skill queing should be PvE only… maybe remove it at all.
The skill queue is horrible for this.
It also means you usually end up dodging backwards as soon as you re-spawn in your base >.<
I will never understand why dodge can be queued to begin with. It’s a mostly reactive ability; it does not need a proactive mechanic.
And apparently no one has seen the Necro glitch with Roots, where Scepter/Staff Necromancers seemingly have to manually target the Root and autoattack it. By the time the Necro can get out of the root, he’s already dead.

This is by far the most annoying thing I encounter as a necro when facing rangers.

Yeah, this is really annoying. It’s bad enough we’d probably do little damage to the root since it’s an object, but not being able go target it at all is so annoying. In the end, I’m forced to transfer or consume conditions and roll immediately.
Love it when it happens to my renewed focus and shelter. But hey, it doesn’t matter cause a guard is unkillable anyway, not.
Just adding that this happens to me too. Very jarring and the lost of a stamina on an unintended dodge is terrible.

@Devs: I’m sure you have a lot of stuff to do, to test, to experiment but why don’t you simply add this feature and see the feedback? Players keep asking it since game launch and you keep ignoring that since then. Add it and see what happens, we need more “open beta testing” like for custom arenas, because it seems that you can’t collect enough feedback from the beta server.
I would rather them start actually fixing things. This is actually a minor issue compared to all the serious balance problems there are.

This ^, I hate the new skill queue so much. Gameplay feels so much more clunky and not getting my vengeance or interrupt up because I mashed 1 from downed state and I’m unable to cancel it is so frustrating.
Assign “Sheath Weapon” to “x” key.
Start unwanted skill? Sheath weapon.

how about cancel skillz (weapon or utilities) that go for the full cd-duration?

Actully while you are making skill queue even worse, why not add back mouse smoothening, force vsync, remove free cam? might aswell go all the way

stupid mechanic which ANet didnt ask for the community… as always… they do something for us and we are angry because its trash :/ its so sad it wasnt even on changelog, just ninja patched…
PS: whole game is a bit slow, due to animation times not matching real cast and channel times, i really like the game, but i really hate this… it makes me reminisce of my WoW times when everything was exact and everything reacted imediately without a need for some stupid skill queue :/
PPS: sometimes i even think about going back to WoW… and its VERY SAD when someone even only think about it after trying this awesome game :/

Its nightmarish at times, but thankfully the ability queue often means I am left fearing and stripping the binding roots of all boons……………….

Many ways to get out of the root as a necro. DS Skill 2 teleport, transfer the immob condition with Staff 4 or dagger 4 or Heal with Consume conditions.

So i was playing warrior, in downed state i used the hammer, someone interrupted me then i died. Of course i had hammer 2 on cooldown in next downed state.

Confirmed. Usually happening after being hit by Ranger’s roots (after killing them) or their downstate stun.
Since we’ll throwing bugs around, I’ll add that Mobile Strikes on Warrior fail to break immobilizes 60% of the time.

Literally happens at the worst times ( implying it’s ever good to stand still for extended periods of time, minus bunkering. )

Yes, very annoying. I wonder if its related to the WvW build but where you get stuck for no reason. All three are very annoying.

bumping this thread because this HAS TO be in the very top of the to do list, it is just so annoying to die because of this kittening bug.
Please make a hot fix or something, i dont even ask to remove the skill queu but just remove dodge from it. This is a serious issue here

What? They have a test server? Seems missing to me as a lot of things in the game appear not to have been tested well before launching.
Courtesy of the falling/loop bug I died earlier. After calming down, I clicked a WP & what do you know, first thing my character does is a dodge roll that I wanted before I fell not afterwards when it is useless.
/sigh
Even EVE Online has test servers, why shouldn`t a firm that (I`m only guessing here….) has more players/income…?
