Guild Wars 2

According to the wiki, and the weapons the vendor holds these weapons are supposed to look normal during the day in game, and at night in game they are supposed to change to ghost like versions. Glowing Blue etc. See my attachment below, or this link to the wiki:

So I farmed the Ascalonian Catacombs to buy myself one.
The weapon I got does not change form according to the time of day.

Can this be fixed please?

EDIT: The actual name for the weapons in game are now GHASTLY XXXX.
Maybe thats the issue? Some script isn’t linked up?

Here is my toon standing next to the vendor in lions arch at night.

Notice his weapons have taken on ghost form, while mine has not?
It didn’t work before or after transmutation.

390 Tokens for a sword that doesn’t work as advertised is a hefty price to pay.

Sent another bug report this morning, propping this up as well.

I can also confirm that the greatsword isn’t glowing for me. I’ve seen the axe glowing, so it might just be the GS that’s bugged.

Certain weapons
LIke the Longbow or the axe work, but most do not. Sadly this issue seems to be getting burried in the rage posts over the dungeon adjustments…

Repeatedly bumping this or sending the bug report isn’t helpful.

You think your bug is more important than others? Report the bug, post on it, move on.

Just got a ghostly great sword very disappointed to see it doesn’t change at night.

Still a bug though that needs to be fixed

The Longbow and Shortbow seem to be the only ones that will correctly display their day/night skins without being present for the transition from day to night. You can notice this by seeing that they are the only ones with a blue color when you “Preview” them at night time.

I suggest looking at their coding and finding discrepancies between those and the other weapons.

Same bug happens to me with GS, forget the DR system bugs and fix my sword ! =p

Im having the same problem with my staff.

Got my staff tonight, it worked for about 4 minutes until I map changed and now won’t glow anymore even though it’s night.

To make it work, you need to be on daylight and wait for night… Geeeeeeeeeezzz. When u map changed, it stops glowing.

Atlas, the point is they shouldn’t work that way. The longbow and the shortbow both correctly switch over even if you enter a map which is already night, or relog into a map which is night. All the others are bugged.

Actually my long bow are not glowing at night, i need to remove the weapon and equip it again. at this point start glowing. if i enter in combat the bow stop to glow…

I experience this bug with my short bow. At night it glows on my back and when I fire a shot it stops glowing but remains blue. Mac client, if that matters.

Have the same issue with Ascalonian short bow, it stops glowing when i use it. Windows client.

4 years later, still not working
