Rune of Strength and Jungle Stalker
It’s not going to be corrected, because the current behavior is intended. Player stats (boon duration) are not linked to pet stats.
Not sure if I misunderstood your comment, but the Jungle Stalker’s Mighty Roar gives extreme might (5 stacks) to up to 5 people within 600 distance of the pet. It does not give might to the pet if there are 5 players surrounding the pet to absorb the benefit. If the ranger master is not within the 600 radius I do not believe he receives might.
I’m not sure if Runes of Strength used by other players will extend duration of the benefit of the mighty roar, just sure that it does not extend duration of might received by my ranger.
Rune also does not increase the duration of might from marksmanship master trait beastmaster’s might, which gives 3 stacks of might for 21 3/4 seconds, upon activating a signet.
Rune does increase duration of might from warhorn from 15 seconds to about 21 seconds.
While it does seem counter intuitive, the pets actually have their own boon duration, independent of yours.
This is evidenced by the Adept trait in Nature Magic, Concentration Training: Boons applied by your pets last longer.
Edit: I haven’t experimented with those runes and signets but they should be lengthening the Might duration. If not that’s a bug.

A players’ boon duration boosts the duration of boons applied by that specific player. It doesn’t boost it from other sources. For example, if you receive might from a Warrior using “For Great Justice” and they aren’t running any boon duration, you’ll get the default 25 second Might duration regardless of your own gear. On the other hand, any might you give to other players (or your pet) using “Call of the Wild” is getting a duration boost from your Rune.
You aren’t applying the Might from Mighty Roar. Your pet is. So the duration isn’t affected, because your pet is the one applying the buff and your pet (by default) has no added boon duration. That’s intended behavior. If you want longer might duration from Mighty Roar, the only way to get it is by using the trait “Concentration Training” which is a Nature Magic trait.
It SHOULD be boosting the might duration from Beastmaster’s Might, though. Since you are applying that boon. If its not, then that is indeed a bug. Though you might want to double-check that its not actually boosting the duration but just not showing the boost in the tooltip data (use a signet and time exactly how long the Might lasts with a stopwatch or something).
You are right about the operation of the rune – it only affects might applied by the character activating it.
The period of might applied by the signet activation had already been increased by the rune (the default period is 15 seconds) so that was my error. Concentration training does work to increase might from Mighty Roar.
It would be nice if the official guild wars wiki was more clear.
Thank you for the replies.
