I’ve been using a full set of Superior Runes of the Pack on my Human Mesmer for the past few days. I’ve seen the 4 piece bonus proc when my character’s been hit by enemies, although the bonus says it gives a 10% chance to proc when my character attacks. I’ve heard the wolf howling of the proc play when I’m being hit while looking at my map or other maps.

Also, the +50 power does not apply at 3 pieces. Half the reason I bought the whole rune set was to have an effect that would proc on attack rather than when hit. When hit procs are fairly useless on any glass cannon type build.

Also, are the boon icons not intended to show up when it procs? I hear the proc fairly regularly/see the wolf animation during play and I do not get any new boon icons.

I should add I have a full set of superior on my mesmer.

Armorsmith makes it, just because it hasn’t been discovered and put onto the wiki yet doesn’t mean it hasn’t been found…

no clue, my armorsmith friend just told me that he was able to make them, i can ask him tomorrow if you want to know though.

that would be great! i wonder if they are armorsmith exclusive or if i can discover them too as leatherworker.

Shameless bump for justice to get this rune set fixed.

I bought a set of these runes today, and I’m pretty disappointed that they don’t actually work as intended, though it seems a lot of the (6) and (4) bonuses don’t work at all.

This would explain a lot – I have used this set since I first crafted my exotic set. Always thought something was fishy. Of course the best rune for Ranger would be broken. =(

is this crap still bugged? c’mon anet, fix the stuff that matters already and leave the lame $%# pointless stuff for later..

i hope anet fix this ASAP! i just wasted my gold for Superior Rune of the Pack!

I have waiting for a fix for about a week or more, reported in game sometimes but nothing yet.

Bump. I’ve been waiting for this fix for two weeks now. Reported in-game forever ago. I’m glad there is already a thread on the forums concerning this issue, however I’d love to hear something from Anet about it. It’s just been hopefully sitting in my armor waiting for a fix..

Aaand this didn’t seemed to have been fixed in the last patch either.
The howling wolf will get proc’d occasionally but no boons to yourself or nearby allies are given.

“On hit” runes in general should be “On your attack…”

Seems awfully backwards, get rewarded for bad gameplay…

Bad news is that the #3 +50 power isn’t working either meaning when you apply it you don’t see any boost to your power. These two bugs have been known to Anet for over 1 month and nothing has been done to fix them.

They apparently don’t feel that 33% of the rune not working properly is OK.

Any update on this? Please fix by next patch.

Is this on the confirmed ANet bug list?

Wish i knew about these bugs before buying the runes.. pretty annoying. Same deal here, +50 power slot not working and neither are the boons being applied when the Wolf animation goes off. Cmon ANet sort it out please!

Anyone else have problem with the superior runes? it seems that even though i get the wolf howl thingy the buff doesnt apply to anyone near me
