I think you didn’t get credit for “in the middle of the trees” because you didn’t enter “in the middle of the trees”. There are no trees anywhere even near that shop. I’d take a wild guess that the shop is “past the piranha pagoda”, which you’ll note is checked off correctly.
Looking at Dulfy’s guide for this achievement, the best bet for “in the middle of the trees” is the shop at shortcut eagle.
