Guild Wars 2

It’s been a couple of weeks now since my client started asking me to sign up for SMS authentication. I’ve tried to do this a few times, but every time I enter Google Voice number, I get the following error message.

“This phone number was not recognized. Please check your number and try again.”

There isn’t much to this page, and I’ve checked over what little is there. Everything seems to be in order. Any idea why this page wouldn’t like my 10 digit number?

VOIP numbers, and such, are not supported by GW2’s SMS system. You will have to use a ‘real’ phone number.
