Patch notes say:
“Map completion rewards have been added to Dry Top, the Silverwastes, and Southsun Cove.”

I had 100% on all 3 of these maps before today and I did not receive any map completion rewards for them. Guildies are saying they just zoned in and got the reward automatically if they already had 100%

Seems bugged even if you didn’t have the map already completed, went to finish Southsun on one of my toons and got nothing

Yeah, I also just got my last two POIs in Dry Top and received no rewards. Same for Southsun.

I already had all 3 at 100% on my guardian and got no rewards for any of them. I’ve not tried with other characters, which are a mix of completed and uncompleted.

I also didn’t get anything. I explored those maps pre-HoT

I have discovered the pattern for mine

I have 6 characters with 100% WORLD completion, and 2 without.

The 6 with world completion did not receive rewards, the 2 without received rewards both for SW/DT/SSC maps already completed and once completed which i did to test.

So it seems if you already have world completion you will not receive it, but if you haven’t you will.

Would be nice if you fixed this. I already completed these maps with most characters and getting the rewards would be very welcome.

No rewards for me either on these 3 maps.

I can confirm that characters at 100% world completion do not get map rewards for Southsun, Dry Top and The Silverwastes.

As of two(?) updates ago, Silverwastes rewarded my guardian (who has deliberately missed a point of interest in every city, so is at close to 100%, but not AT 100%) gifts of exploration.

Moments ago, my warrior (who has skipped all the renown hearts in Timberline Falls, has not even entered Silverwastes and has Dry Top at under 50%) was rewarded gifts of exploration for Southsun completion.

I had the same problem. I was at 96% world completion when HoT was released, and with Southsun/Dry Top/SW I got the gifts of exploration and some notification right away.

Now I finished world completion to 100%, but I didn’t get the map completion rewards of the maps I completed now (Timberline Falls, Dredgehaunt Cliffs, Fireheart Rise).

I didn’t get my completion chests for Silverwastes and Southsun Cove, so I didn’t even bother to complete Dry Top. My character already had 100% world completion.
A friend of mine did get the chests, though, although he, too, had 100% world completion, so I don’t think that’s relevant.

Any character who had 100% Tyria Map comletion did not get any rewards from completing Southsun Cove, Dry Top or The Silverwastes.

I think Map Completion rewards must be all together bugged because I just did Tangled Depths in Heart of Thorns 100% and received no reward either.

Seems plausible that it’s related to having World Completion prior to the change. If you had already 100% of the Core maps, you don’t get any rewards in the new maps, nor these 3 additional ones. Hopefully, ArenaNet will get around to resolving that, and soon.

+1 here, sent a ticket and they redirected me here, can confirm the problem is with having 100% map completion prior to the patch.

I had characters fully explore DryTop, Silverwastes, and Southsun prior to HoT and did not receive any rewards there for map completion. However, I had my Revenant explore Southsun and received a “Map Completion Chest” with a letter in the mail just like all the other core Tyria zones.

So not only are we missing the map completion for the new HoT zones, but also Dry Top, Silverwastes, and Southsun. I did not receive any on my other characters that completed those zones prior to Heart of Thorns. Even characters I have that were just missing 1 POI were not getting map completion rewards after I found what I was missing.

It’s a major problem because in order to get your Ascended Elite Spec weapon, you need to map complete a Heart of Thorns map.

Just compledet Verdant Brink. No Reward. Also Charaktert with 100% World Completion prior to HoT. Especially the Necromancers Cache will be missed since it’s used for another meta achievement where you get the ascended greatsword.

I had Southsun/Dry top/Silverwastes 100% before HoT and I have not gotten any reward for it now. Guildies say they got rewards for just going to the maps they had completed.

Same trouble with Southsun. I completed it on my thief (who does not yet have 100% map completion) and got a nice reward. Checked in with my necro and ele (who do have 100% map completion and 100% Southsun prior to the patch) and got nothing.

Don’t know about those maps, but Verdant Brink is not granting me any rewards for 100%.

Bugged for me and most of my guild, so I hope they’ll fix it.

I went to an alt that also has 100% world completion from before, but did not have all of Southsun. Completed the map, but was still not rewarded for it. Guildies have reported that they get the rewards on alts that do not have 100% world completion already.
