Topic says it. For two days now, I’ve noticed that not one salvage I’ve done has pulled a rune/sigil out. Even with basic kits, I’ve salvaged probably over 100 greens from just farming in Southsun, and not one rune or sigil has come from any of them. I don’t see anything in patch notes about changes to basic kits, or recovery of upgrades from drops, so I can only assume this is a bug that’s related to the earlier fixes and still persistent.

I may have recovered an upgrade once with a basic salvage kit.
If you want your upgrades back with any regularity you need to use a master salvaging kit. Even then it can fail to recover the upgrade.
I figured out a while ago the higher grades of salvage kits don’t only extract better or more mats from equips, they are also much more likely to recover upgrades.

I never get any upgrades when using a basic salvage kit. If I want the upgrade that is in the piece, I use Master Kit or BL salvage kit, depending upon the upgrade contained.

Most of my salvaging is metal, wood, fabric from basic kits.
