I noticed, after the Rare Salvage update, that my Salvage-o-Matic(Silver) sometimes jumps to the location of my last Rare Salvaged Item – only if I salvage 3 or more items. This means that it sometimes switches locations with the salvaged materials in my Inventory.

OR

Other times it randomly appears in my bank when I open [the bank] up after salvaging a Rare.

I do not notice this weirdness on any items with a quality lower than Rare

Just happen to me also i used the silver fed an switch toons came back to my main an it was gone was about to file a support ticket then i found it in my bank but i never put it in my bank it just appeared there.

I as well have that issue to where the silver salvage omadic was moving in my inventory usually happens after i click accpet to salvage a rare and after clicking salvage it just moves. even found it moved to my bank. so weard bug

Sometimes I forget to close the bank window and suddenly, after salvaging some items, I wonder where my salvaging kit has gone…
So do you have the bank inventory open while salvaging too? Then there is one simple solution: Close your bank inventory

That automatic movement of salvage tools to the bank also happens with salvage kits bought from NPCs, so it’s not some exclusive problem to the Salvage-o-matic.

The most recent patch added a bug:

• You have the bank open.
• You have the o-matic in inventory.
• You are salvaging multiple items that can drop multiple types of items, such as gear with an upgrade item.

This affects other salvage kits as well, including the Mystic Kit.

Prior to this bug, there was a feature|anomaly|bug in which right-clicking the kit from inventor to ‘use’ would leave the kit in the bank afterward. I found this handy when I only had one item to salvage, since I typically want my o-matic to rest in the bank. Others find it annoying.

I had a Mystic Salvage Kit jump the the bank once. I think I had the bank open in the background, but I salvaged an item in inventory, and MSK just disapeared. I was about to submit a bug report when I thought in the offchance I somehow dropped it in the bank instead, and it was there.

This has been driving me nutty trying to work out what exactly triggers it, I watch intently every time I salvage rares. Today, to add another layer to the mystery, my mystic kit jumped to my bank on my 2nd salvage and back to my bag again on the 3rd!

I had this happen as well. It flips around due to the new “continue salvaging after prompt” QoL thing they added. But it only seems to do it with the bank open. Close the bank tab, salvage, then open it again and it is fine.
