Using a Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic on an exotic item gives no warning dialog. Because of this, I accidentally used this salvage tool instead of the BLSK, and didn’t get the upgrade. There goes 6 gold because the salvaging fail safe is not in place for exotic items. It exists for rare items, so why not exotics?

Fractal skins are exotic and dont have a warning message when recycle.

Hi Josh, I believe it was a “Shaman’s Pit Fighter Legs of the Traveler”, level 65. Salvaged it with the Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic, no warning was given. I received some small amount of Mithril Ore and nothing else. I thought I had clicked on my BLSK, which was right next to the CFSoM, but obviously I hadn’t, and noticed when I heard the CFSoM say one of its funny little lines, and saw no Superior Rune of the Traveler, nor the exotic, in my inventory.
