Hello,

I did not know that you could not salvage a vendor item. I have read that this is to discourage people from salvaging for raw materials. I never knew this, and I put Melandru’s runes in some WvW armor that I bought. Now I want to upgrade to Ascended and I can’t get my runes!

I am not made of money, I can’t afford 6 new Melandru’s runes. How can I get them out? Shouldn’t there be a message that says you can’t ever recover this expensive inserted item?

Yes I went through the same mistake a few weeks ago, a message on hint like “Not Salvageable” could be nice.

Actually not salvageable for WvW items is supposed to be a bug but for some reason they have it has a low priority ….

Ah yes I have heard about that bug, but I mean about items bought from vendors like with karma and such. Something in the tooltip telling it’s not salvageable could help new players to know about the limitation.
