Guild Wars 2

This issue started for me about half a year ago with scrolls of experience. Even though they are the exact same item and are account bound I have 2 stacks of 2 because I cannot combine them. About a month and a half ago this also started happening with all the express access items and my gifts of exploration from the 2 characters I’ve done it with won’t stack. All these items are account bound, not soul bound, and therefore it is really irritating that I now have at least two slots in my bank and inventory taken up for each item because I can’t combine them in either the bank or my inventory. For the express access items I’m assuming the problem is the “account bound” and “account bound on acquire” descriptor that all of a sudden got changed (why? It wasn’t necessary to do that since an account bound drop is therefore account bound on acquire…). And before anyone suggests it, no amount of relogging or changing maps has fixed this issue. I’ve already submitted 2 ingame bug reports and a support ticket, to no avail. Let’s hope this will do the trick since I’m tired of wasting inventory space because items that should stack don’t.

Edit: I just tried relogging again for the sake of argument and after several attempts it did finally revert for the express access and the gift of exploration. But the problem still persists for the scrolls of experience.

The only items that won’t stack are the Experience Scrolls (the 20 level ones) from year one and from year two. Any new ones will still stack on top of their respective year’s stack. The other account bound items not stacking is a bug from the patch a couple of weeks ago. The work around for it is to take the items into your inventory, change maps or log out, and then log back in. Doing that should make it so they can stack again.

Wow… that works, but it’s sure annoying to have to do it this way. I hope they fix this soon.
