Bad lightning pulls are a consequence of how ANet has designed the game and a symptom of a poor connection with the server. It’s not a glitch; it’s just bad design/service. It’s also been around since forever.

No, it’s bad design. The function of lightning pull platforms is to provide a means to move a player from point A to point B. For someone’s connection to somehow become a factor, not by when, but by whether it works is bad design. They chose to implement a method with such high risk of failure conditional on one’s connection, which they may not be maintaining properly on their end and can’t change on the player’s end regardless, instead of something with the consistency to move the player from the same spot to the same spot every time.

There have been several times where I have been jumping and all of a sudden I stop moving mid-jump. Jumping must be bad design as well.
Well I understand it might be partially connection related, but i’ve had the same provider for the last two years and i was able to do these jumps 4-6months ago(when i last played the game) and now can’t even do them. Before i might have missed a few times or landed and continually rolled, and fell off(lag)and figured it was connection problems but now 100% of the time I can’t make a jump, seems partially bad design of that one particular spot.

Here here. I have about 110 ‘wins’ on this, according to the achievement, but now I can’t make it past the simple pylon jump at the race midpoint. It’s even more frustrating when I watch a bunch of other players seemingly have no trouble with this.
After the patch Sanctum Sprint just kicks me out after a few seconds
After today’s patch, I get a GW2 Critical Error as soon as I start moving inside Sanctum Sprint :V
EDIT: even if I’m standing still.. no way I can complete this daily

I recorded a new record time for myself about three months ago and experienced no issues. However, the game has been performing rather differently since then. I would say that they’ve done something with their servers about two months ago to cause them to be less precise.

I, too, was unceremoniously ejected from Sanctum Sprint, a few seconds after entering, causing an error log/report to be sent.
Sadly, I forgot to note the error, but I did send the report.
