I tried to start the scavenger hunt but try as I might (I blew through 15 candy corns) I cannot get the initial ghost Serene to appear and get my on my way. I’m Ehmry Bay but it seems to me no one else is having the same issue. I’m scanning the Etheric Field like I was told, but I’m getting nowhere. Someone please tell me I’m not alone

Im on ehmry bay as well and cant get serene to appear as well!!

she doesnt actually show up, she’s invisible. Just spam the action button for talking and you’ll get her. She’s right beside Tassi (sp?)

I can get the “Investigate” prompt up every so often, but nothing happens. It disappears and all I can do is talk to Tassi again.

ya im getting as well looking like its bugged to me

you can choose different types of scan. you have to hit the right skill. I think she was…gaseous…or ethereal maybe. Look on your tooltip when you have the gizmo equiped. candy corn fuels it. After you use the right scan you can talk to her

I can confirm this as well. The “Inspect” prompt flashes for a second then disappears. Ghost doesn’t appear at all. All different types of scanning have been used.

Same issue here. (Isles of Janthir). Just to confirm as well, I was using the ethereal scanning function as was stated in the mail sent to me. Inspect comes up and hitting “F” does nothing.

Edit: Just randomly seemed to fix itself (maybe it was reset by someone at A-net?) Keep trying everyone!

Same here, I cant get any of the ghosts to even appear at all.

I, on the other, didn’t scan at all, and she was already there. Then I foolishly blew a candy corn scanning for her anyway….

Ok so logging out and back in fixed this for me

Same problem, I’m just going to wait until tomorrow and hope that a fresh relog, and a good breakfast are the solution.

Same here, blew three corns, she never showed up visibly, and while there was sometimes an “investigate” prompt on the ground, it only popped up a message telling me I wasn’t doing something right. I suspect part of the problem was the dozens of people in the area, especially since a costume brawl was happening right next to her.

I have a different problem in the scavenger hunt.
I got the 5 pages but I can’t talk to Tassi to give me the reward for completing the hunt.

I can confirm this as well, both on my home world of Jade Quarry and on an Overflow shard.

What I see instead is a “Suspicious Location”. I pressed F on it but nothing happens.

apparently relogging helps in some cases. unfotunately, it doesn’t work for me.

i’m on Dzagonur (DE) and i’m under the impression that the event doesn’t for the majority (if not all) of the players on this server.
i also have a hunch that we get more bugs and stuck events like that because we’re one of the three EU servers that were added later.. but that’s a different story.

Ehmry Bay, too, like 100 people here trying to do it to no avail.

Having the same issue on the Kessex hills part of this event.

Part of the problem is that Serene is small, hard to see and easily obscured by other players.
