Not exactly a bug, I just bought the gathering tool pack, love them; but I noticed the logging ax when used, before the lightning strike sound it plays a noise like metal scraping together, that sound is really ear-grinding and annoy and should be removed.

That noise is meant to represent the Aether-axe’s moving mechanical parts, and is part of its appeal. I want it to stay.
