Try deleting all your mail, and picking up all Gold and/or items from the TP.

I just finished the personal story and am moving on to Season 2. However, it says check your mail, but nothing is showing up. I attempted to rectify the problem by switching from season 2 on my Sylvari, but nothing happened.
