Armor clipping:

This is the top tier fine/masterwork armorsmithing set. My voluptous female norn warrior has the fullest body type, and her booty clips against the back of the skirt when she stands idle. There’s also some slight clipping going on in the front of the chest piece.

This bug is particularly disappointing to me because this set is the one used at the character creation screen, and the default female norn warrior’s body type has no clipping issues. I thought the armor skin looked awesome and looked forward to using it as I created the character, only to find a bug with my favored body type

Maybe if that Norn slimmed down a bit she wouldn’t be bursting at the seams but in all seriousness……i got nothing else to add to that :p

Used Midnight Fire Dye on entire Male Cultural Tier 3 set for Sylvari. Three of the dye spots refuse to take in the dye and come up as “Dye Remover” instead of Midnight Fire. Although I can put in other dyes such as black for example into those dye locations and it will work fine.

Holes in the map/terrain:
In the Straights of Devastation I was quickly lured into a very claustrophobia-inducing cave very near the portal to Sparkfly Fen by a mithril ore node. Thinking (and hoping) that I might have stumbled upon the entrance a jumping puzzle, I continued deeper into the cave to see what I could see. Unfortunately for me, it was a dead-end, but exploring the cave as much as I could, I found several holes in the terrain. The large gear/cog looking object in the cave (seen in the first screenshot) offers no collision/resistance with my character and I found I could jump right through it and out of the normal geometry of the map. The second screenshot is a view from the other side of the gear/cog. The third screenshot is also taken from the other side of the gear/cog and shows more see-through terrain. The fourth screenshot is a completely different hole in a different part of the same cave that doesn’t even have anything visual to deter characters from jumping through it and thus out of the map geometry.

As for the last game update: Female Nightmare Armor Leggings stopped theit night animation. The chest armor seems to be animated at night while the leggings are no more help……..

Race: Human, Gender: Female, Profesion: All Scholars

Human female’s Feathered armor and Conjurer’s armor have new bug (after lost shores update).
Now these armors make the player’s waist cut.
(just like the Winged armor before fixed)

I have tried hard to find my favorite set and transmuted them.
Now they are all broken.

I tried hard to avoid Winged Armor because of this glitch and finally found my combination.
Ironically, Winged is FIXED but Feathered armor and Conjurer’s armor now have the glitch.

So apparently the Sylvari have pubic hair.
The Sylvari cultural T1 light armor set’s skirt is not exactly tight around the waist, and when you do anything to push the front of the skirt forward the underwear-shadow-texture / it’s-totally-pubes-bro, can be seen

I’m not sure if this it the right forum area to post this. But it does have to do with maps. After the last update I have been having map issues as you can see by the screenshot. It always proceeds a client crash. It also can occur on my minimap, which sometimes has blue and yellow striping.

Issue: Flame Eye no longer visible after transmuting Fine Circlet (story reward from Rending the Mantle) stats onto it.

Human, Female, Elementalist

I’ve tried turning my helm on and off, logging in and out with it on and off does not fix it. If I have it turned on when I’m at the Character Select screen it displays correctly, just not when in game. Changing helms does not fix the issue either.

In the screenshot, note that my shoulders are turned off properly but my helm is turned on, but not displayed.

I found the same. After lost shores update conjurer armor now have the issue with clipping but feathered armor are fixed. My char is human female.

The starting hood for the thief has some weird graphical issues occurring. As you can see in the image, the side of the hood will jut out as if disconnected from the rest of hood. The top of the hood also seems a bit pointier than I thought I had seen on human models, though I could be mistaken there. It is noticeable at rest, but is especially glaring while in a combat stance.

I am wearing a starter leather vest, req lvl 4 rawhide leggings, req lvl 2 rawhide boots, and superior studded gloves along with my starter hood. The effect occurs even when wearing nothing but the hood, however.

As you can see in the screenshoots, there seems to be a hole between the chest and the leggings, like there is no belt. The bug/glitch occurs when you equip the leggings. The armor set im using is the second tier of Armorsmith level 35. Level 25-30 also got the same bug/glitch. I made them myself.

Just to point out, the first tier also got its own problems with the leggings, they looked like they were not well conected with the chest. Not like this hole, but it was certantly something to look into it.

I’m using an ATI. After changing the drivers, the bug/glitch was still there. Currently using the lastest drivers to date.

Equipment:

The pieces I’m using are all from the second tier of Armorsmith. Items level 35 green. It doesn’t matter what weapon I use, the bug/glitch is still there. Also it doens’t matter the graphical settings, the bug/glitch persist.

not sure if this is the correct place to write but ill do it anyway

so heres the issue not a big deal but still
i use the superior sigil of air which grants chance on crit to trigger lighting strike
it triggers fine but there is no animation of it while the fire sigil and it’s aoe can be seen every time it activates. Will be cool if we can actually see the lighting when it hits

To summarize the first image… The Cabalist Coat appears to be sheared off, majorly in part due to the way in which it combines with the Cabalist Leggings. I’ve provided a quick thought for how it could be made to feel more natural when worn with any other type of armor leggings, but it’s just a suggestion. Lowering the shear-off point would essentially accomplish the same thing, but I think adding some detail down there would really give it a nice feel. The second image is just a quick indicator of clipping that occurs in normal “idle” gameplay.

Im having incredibly irritating texture bugs with my entire game. I just bought it and this is my first time playing it. I have no problems with any other games, so I know it isn’t my computer. I had the same problem on two different characters at two completely different areas. I have textures constantly changing, and even entire scenery objects appearing and disappearing as I move or turn. Some help would be appreciated if someone knows any fixes. TY

I can’t actually tell if this is a lighting or texture issue, but aesthetics are aesthetics so I’ll try this here.

My male Sylvari’s mouth has this weird glow/lack of proper texture inside his mouth in cinematics. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the face (I can’t remember the order number, but it’s the face Renvari and Occam wear), skin color (Lily), or both, but it makes it look oddly distorted.

I compared it to actual gameplay by using the cheer emote, and his mouth outside of cinematics does seem to have proper coloration.

The cut scene is queued during the first Order of Whispers mission in Applenook Hamlet. The particular cut scene is after you speak to all of the ministry guards in the tavern, both the male and female guards were without helmets, and hair during the cut scene.

It seems I have the same problem with Down the Hatch (the following mission) Second Mate Khebril is also bald in the cut scene!

It should be noted, that my own character is not bald in any of the cut scenes I’ve done so far.

The Legs of Arah, Heavy Armor Set, Have a Strap which goes along with the Chest, but if I do not want to match it with the chest it looks incomplete and cut. Can you fix it by either completing the strap or attaching it completely to the chest instead of half and half. Mix Matching this set looks weird with this piece that looks cut and missing.

Hopefully it will be fix soon, having one of the hardest armors in game that represent a title beating Arah completely being broken is kind of lame.

Also Leg Piece Front Metal Piece is Off Centered, it moves elastically instead as a whole piece.

Not sure how many weapons this affects, but it is something that I have noticed with at least two of them. On both my and my wife’s computer, I have noticed that the greatsword “Pact Avenger” and the rifle “Super Hyperbeam Alpha” are not animated when viewed on my character in the world from my computer. However, when viewed in the character preview window or the hero screen, both are fully animated and appear to be working fine. I have seen the sword animated on other players (haven’t seen the gun yet). I made sure the Animation option in the video settings was set to high.

Not sure if this matters, but we’re both running NVIDIA cards… GTX470 and hers is a GTX580.

I’ve found out some issues with armor.

All of these are for Norn female:

The first dye (pottery dye) on medium Wolfborn Boots cannot be changed. (In the green square on the picture.)

When a pistol is equipped on main hand it clips through both medium Commando’s Jacket and the Wolfborn Vest. (In the blue square on the picture.)

Two spots on medium Commando’s Jacket clip through the character’s body. (In the red squares on the picture.)

Not sure if this problem has been posted before but I feel like this is a valid issue. The Duelist mask (medium armor) has this weird lighting bug on the left side of the mask. From the picture you can see that there is a bright patch on the left cheek.

Depending on the angle of the character and where the light is hitting him, The patch will either be a shadow or a light, usually the same value as whatever the right side of the mask is (If the right side is shadowed, the left “patch” will be the same value). When i see the same mask worn by either human females or any other race, I do not see the same patch. This problem only seems to be on Human Male characters.

This is not a game breaking bug and I still continue to play but this patch hinders my ability to fully color customize my character the way I want. I am instead forced to color that part of the mask a very “dark” color so that the patch won’t seem as visible as if it was colored brightly otherwise. Any others have this problem with their Duelist mask????

- When wearing the level 80 light armor headgear, my foreheard pokes out of the headband. This may be due to the fact that i made my forehead too big. However, if this issue is because of the armor sticking too close to the face and is fixable, that would be great.

The rifle “Spectral Wave Modulator” is too long/large and the front of the rifle will clip through the ground. I suspect other large rifles such as the Charrzooka suffers from a similar situation. Please allow the avatar to hold rifles at a more upward angle in the “rest” position (when not firing in combat)

TERRIBLE clipping, this kind of thing is so annoying that it’s almost unplayable.
Also, the hair clipping has become so much of an issue to me that I’m restarting my level 35 JUST to change the hair. Please figure out a way to fix hair clipping, it’s not right that in order to have long hair we have to deal with such an annoying graphical anomaly.

Welp, using Heritage Legguards was an awful idea.

Clothing involved:
Level 80 Heritage Legguards of Grenth, originally Pirate Pants. I don’t remember where I got them.
Level 80 Valkyrie Noble Coat of Grenth. I bought it off the TP.

The problem is that my crotch cannot be contained. Literally, the bulge of the front of the pants clips through the bottom of my vest. The severity depends on my pose, but it’s almost always happening. And very visible since I like a high contrast monochrome color scheme. I really don’t want to have to dye them black just to hide my groin clipping. The belt also clips through the waist of my vest.

I can’t even transmute my pants to something else because I don’t have a Fine Transmutation Stone.. haha, ugh. I might just salvage them and buy a new pair.

I have a severe bug with my Whispers Gloves shooting out all over the place when mixed with my Tier 3 Norn Cultural Chest.

I’m very sure it’s not a problem on my end, as it only happens when those two items interact as seen in the pictures.

This bug freaked me out when I first saw it because I thought I had a faulty sector of my VRAM, but after multiple tests I can conclude that this may just be a problem with how the models interact.

Armor Texture Issue

There’s a texture bug I’m seeing w/ the “Havroun Doublet” chest piece. The texture bug is on the left arm/sleeve where the texture turns “white” & “red” regardless of dye preference. I notice the texture bug whenever I go into water. Swimming on the surface doesn’t seem to trigger the bug. It only seems to happen when going underwater. Unequip/Requiping the armor “fixes” the bug.

Also it’d be “nice” if the sleeveless right arm didn’t have the armor clipping for the gloves above the wrist and actually showed the full glove. I know the gloves had to be clipped at wrist level for the sleeved hand to work, but it’d be nice if we had independent armor clipping for left/right arm/leg.

But i’m currently stuck in the wall after doing to Utcua skill challenge in Loch Jezt and I have no idea how to get out.
I was casting spells and running around, i got up against the wall while fighting and suddenly all the enemies started ignoring me and I began getting obstructed messages for my spells.
I’d really like to keep playing so if you could help me that would be great.

When ever my(or anyone I see) character puts on a head piece such as the Celebration Hat or Winged Headpiece the she would go bald. I’m not exactly sure when I started to notice this, but I think it was a little bit before Halloween.

I’ve attached a picture showing how it use to look, and how it looks now.

This did happen after the first halloween patch. This is the case with my Asura and the t3 cultural armor helm. It has not been fixed yet. I will confirm the issue you are hacving with the human character as well. Halloween patch= the balding patch.

Low-level Greatsword and Scale armor. Slices through the manskirt. The hilt of the sword goes back and forth from clipping the hair to clipping the ear.

Are Koss’ Gauntlets supposed to appear on both hands or just one? It’s only shown on my character’s right hand which looks rather asymmetrical.

Reporting two issues
#1: Another case of armour changing after going underwater.

Skin: Caer Garb(fine rarity) (karma vendor Timberline Falls: Caer Evermore)
Transmuted on to: Masquerade Raiments (lvl 80 rare crafted set)

Going under water will cause the back side of the chest piece to change very obviously. Sticking to the water surface will not affect the armour. Only going completely under will.

#2: Red seams around the armour.
Chestpiece: Same as previous.
Shoulders: Mountainous Shoulders(fine) (karma vendor Stormkarl WP, Timberline Falls)
Transmuted on to: Masquerade Mantle (lvl 80 rare crafted set)
