Selling on TP
Confirming this.
Wasn’t present in first patch, but started after second patch last night
Also confirming this behaviour.
TP defaults to selecting buy orders at highest current price with 100% of your item.
User switches to highest sell of item, and amount changes to one item only at that price forcing a manual change to maximum.
Yes, this makes it take twice as long to sell anything. This bug is a problem for me.
Also confirming this behaviour.
TP defaults to selecting buy orders at highest current price with 100% of your item.
User switches to highest
(lowest, but I know what you mean – the price at the top of the list)
sell of item, and amount changes to one item only at that price forcing a manual change to maximum.
And as you’d guess, when there are no buy orders, it defaults correctly (to listing all of your items at the lowest current offered sell price).
Yeah, I noticed when clicking on lowest current seller price it sets the quantity to 1 and I have to manually set it to max.
I also noticed something strange. When instantly selling items to the highest buy order there is an error message in red text for a split second that reads “Quantity can not be less than 1” even though the sale goes through. This happens every time I sell something instantly and doesn’t matter if I sell 1 item or a whole stack of 250. This error message doesn’t appear if I’m listing an item, only if I sell instantly.
Edit: When selling an item that still has buy orders below the minimum amount the item can be sold for it defaults to the highest buyer even though it can’t be sold for that price. For example: when I go to sell ‘Piece of Ambrite’ it defaults to the highest buy order of 52 copper each instead of defaulting the the lowest buy order, but the minimum sell price for it is 55 copper. There are buy orders for ‘Piece of Ambrite’ that are lower than 52 copper also.

Bumping this up so it gets noticed more.
It’s kind of inconvenient to do PvE (mostly Silverwaste/Dungeons) because of how much longer it takes to sell something.
I believe this was a problem before when they introduced the new TP but there was a huge backlash against it so they changed it. I really hope that they accidentally put it back like this and not purposely.
Yes, confirming bug!
If you choose ‘Sell on trading post…’ for an item, the maximum quantity of your item is automatically selected and it’s default on highest ‘buy order’.
I always select lowest ‘selling price’ and then just click OK (and alternatively undercut by yet another 1c).
However, this recent patch bugged out so when you swap between buy order and selling price, the quantity resets to 1. Since there is no button to choose ‘maximum quantity’ in your inventory, I now have to work around by noting how many I got for sale before I right-click the item and click ‘Sell on trading post…’
While I have a good memory for these, it’s tedious and cumbersome in the long run, especially since it worked before the patch. So… will just call it a bug
Please fix.
