Guild Wars 2

Hey.

I was just sending some food to a guild member and in my excitement I forgot to enter their name before I hit send.

To my dismay, the mail and my food went anyway, I presumed it to be lost, until I got a mail back from what I presume was the nearest person to me when I sent the letter, because they thanked me for the food.

I notice who you’re sending to autofills with nearby people as you type, which is kind of cool, but I don’t think it’s really a time saving feature, and I would rather type the name out in full than accidentally send something of worth to a complete stranger.

So I guess this is a bug? Maybe more of just an oversight with the blank mailto field.

Thanks for the replies everyone. In the mean time i’ve accidentally sent an exotic to some random person who was kind enough to send it back. (I tipped some silver for the honesty.)

But seriously Can we NOT have mail auto address to the first person standing near you? Come on, that is BEYOND stupid.

Yeah yeah I know, check before you send right? Well sometimes your hand slips, you’re tired… whatever. I don’t need to explain myself.

I mean what are the chances that anyone is even going to know the person standing next to them in LA or wherever? Probably not a good chance, unless you stand around with guildies frequently.
