Well, unhappy is an understatement for how I feel right now. After all this time waiting, I finally decided to buy an Ascended Amulet and put a Karma Infusion in it in order to apply all of the Karma Boosters and get 100% karma boost, and then use all of the Karma consumables that I have been saving.

Then I saw that it does not work when I used a few drops. So I looked up to see if it was a bug, and found out about the Sept. 3rd update.

The amount of karma granted from consumable karma items has been increased. Karma boosts no longer affect the amount of karma gained from consumable items.

My question is, is this only temporary because they had a bug that was causing people not to not get the benefits of the boosters and did this until they could fix it, or is this a permanent change so that now Karma boosters are only useful for events.

Because if it is permanent, I WANT MY 10 LAURELS BACK!

It is a permanent change which was even announced, so that people had time to use their items with boosters, if they wanted to.

Yeah, it’s permanent and you should read those patch notes before you spend your precious Laurels.
The lack of knowledge isn’t an excuse unfortunately…

On the upside, you can karma train in wvw, or run fractals with those boosters for quite a bit of a boost. It isn’t as good as saving hundreds of jugs and burning through them with the boosters, but since we can’t do that anymore, it isn’t terrible.

Bravo!….screaming at the sky with shaking fists of rage might make you feel better, but you won’t get Laurels back like that.

Your only hope is to issue a support ticket (and I wouldn’t suggest holding your breath on a positive answer).

As mentioned above this was done in an update …. and reversed (with karma returned to MANY players) due to original outrage. Then it was announced (via posts here and several other placed) that it would be a permanent change in another update to take place in a few weeks (so players could boost and use existing containers). Anet gave everyone ample opportunity to NOT get in the situation you currently find yourself.
