Isle of Janthir server: Gerrenhoff was flooded with players, presumably as planned, but many people, including me, could not see the majority of the Karka spawns. They were invisible and there was nothing to target. Every once in a while a wave would actually appear, but I spent most of the event watching everyone else run around shooting things I couldn’t see.

From the in-game comments I was far from the only one experiencing this.

I don’t think thats a bug… I am pretty sure it is just latency. Things are there they just die really fast even before showing up for some people, hence all the skill spamming.

It may be part of a larger bug related to culling, but it’s still a bug and prevented many people from participating in the event.

I don’t see how the mob dying instantly from all the traps and things on the floor because of so many people is a bug. Yes, it isn’t fair to those who didn’t get credit, but it isn’t a bug. Latency and bugs are 2 different things. The mobs weren’t invisible, they just didn’t have time to show up for most people due to the latency from all the effects and people being around. Some get lucky and some don’t.

We got there but the npc Gerrenhoff was no where in sight. Not to mention there was NO action going on either.

Isn’t Gerrenhoff just a town…? Anyways! That means that even though you recived the letter, you got there after the even was finished. Seen people saying that they start again every couple hours.

No, I was present for the very first event. And one or two waves of Karkas even spawned that were visible for me. It’s just that, for most of the people in most of the rest of the event, the Karkas were invisible and untargetable. Some people got a Gold reward even though they didn’t kill anything, others killed multiple enemies and got no reward.
