Guild Wars 2

Several guildies and people from my server have been reporting severe lag from the server that is hosting Eternal Battlegrounds in the NA Tier 2 WvW match this week as well as the SoS borderlands. The lag is so bad that players are consistently disconnecting from the game whenever they are on those two maps. It is not happening on other maps.

I noticed last week when I was trying to play on a Southsun map I believe ended with ip 161 there was intense lag causing constant disconnects and making my guild fail a guild mission on that map (twice). I’ve also seen issues with certain Tequatl maps.

I’m not a computer person but I believe whatever hardware you have hosting the ip 161, it must be broken right now. Please fix this asap.

I can confirm that server IP 161 is always laggy compared to other IP’s. Please resolve this issue.

I too can confirm that these ip’s seem to always be extremely laggy, and you can imagine how that is to be stuck on them in WvW for 4+ days. I was going to wait and see if I saw them again, but having seen this, there’s obviously something going on.

We had these ip’s in wvw last week, as well as I saw the 161 in a silverwastes map between patches on 11/18 that was extremely laggy. Same behavior has been seen in maps for Lions Arch, and I’ve heard from others for many different maps having the issue over the past few weeks. Curiosity had me start checking ip. I’ve seen other odd lag issues on other ip’s but they were no where near as bad as these seem to be.

edit: to clarify, when I say extremely laggy, I mean the following:
Many players appearing to teleporting around,
Everything randomly pauses for 2-4 seconds then rushes to catch up,
Random disconnects to character select, sometimes without an error message,
shadowsteps/teleports putting you far short of where you target, especially when you are moving,
etc.

I believe ip 162 is also having similar issues.
