Guild Wars 2

Hi!

I’m playing this game on a computer that runs:

i5-2500K CPU
8GB G.Skill Ripjaws
ATI Radeon 7970 3GB
Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3

and I’ve noticed that my character who is a Charr Warrior doesn’t drop any shadows sometimes.

If I’m out in the sunlight, I’ll drop shadows as usual, apart from on a few occasions where I was walking on a mountainside and the shadows disappeared.

I also noticed that I won’t drop any shadows if I walk into a dark area, despite that area having a torch or a bonfire as a light source other than the sun.

Are you on Ultra? I noticed there can be a pretty dramatic difference between High adn Ultra, and by default selecting best appearance doesn’t select ultra.

This might sound like a weird question, but… If you look carefully, does it seem like your character is emitting a sort of light radius that eliminates nearby shadows?
