Guild Wars 2

Upon completing the penultimate mission for this branch with my friends I chose to continue the story. Once I had left the instance my friend received a reward and was asked to read his mail to continue the story, but my other friend and I continued the story, received no reward and could not read the mail to continue the story,
Is the anyone who can help me with this matter.

Was your one friend L30 or more, and you and your other friend somewhere between L20 and L29?

If so, you will be able to proceed after hitting L30.

we will all be level 30 soon as this happened a few days ago.
This was the conclusion i came to, that we should try to continue any way.
