Can we please just have them stand still?

I STRONGLY disagree the shattered wings should NOT be changed they look awesome on a char if people want the normal wing animation then USE THE NORMAL WINGS

I don’t think they should look exactly the same as the holo wings. It’s more unique for both if they don’t. But I still do hope they clean up the animation and fix it so that it looks less floppy.

The wings should affect at least one skill of each class… for example Warrior rush with GS.. just like hovering over the ground while flying with the wings to ur enemy would be awesome..

Hope this is fixed before they can be obtained, not sure how arenanet overlooked this animation and thought it was fine…

It looks like the wings movement is backwards or opposite of what it should be

the wings look like they try to stop my char from moving forward, when standing still it still looks weird but when moving around its totally inacceptable !
would be good if they would just be animated very slowly when standing still and when moving just move with the characters movement but not like it is now !
please change it !
the name shattered wings is because they “look” shattered but that doesn’t mean they have to move like they wanna get off your char and fly away…

To me, it looks more like a hovering animation rather than a flying animation. Add that them being on your back (vertical) instead of the dragon (horizontal) and it looks strange.

They remind me of the motions of when rowing a boat with oars.

yeah the animation is really off and the wings just seem a little drunk and as an asura the clipping on the shoulders is a little off putting

The wings look fantastic apart from the animation kind of a shame, really hope they fix this might just use a different back item tell they do.

The current animation is as others have said “ugly”

Been about a week since I replied here, and as I thought… they had no intention of fixing anything about the wings.

If redoing the animation is too much hassle, just freezing them in place in a pretty position would probably make a lot of people still very happy.

And a lot more angry. I’m fine with the animation, could do with a lil rework but fine with it. I just wish the wings didn’t disappear when i’m using my skills…

Well they took the hover animation from the Shatterer hologram and that’s part of the problem. Not only does the hover animation look like the wings want to get away from us but on every 3rd flap of the wings it’s when the Shatterer hologram recenters himself which on us looks even stranger as the wings go off to one side.

This is exactly my thoughts on it when examining it on the toon I use it on.

I mean, I can handle them as they are, it’s just a little annoying that they seem to want to push my character into the ground rather than pull her up (as wings are supposed to, right?)

In any case, I would prefer this to be changed to either them not moving at all (or having them respond to movement, like hair, ribbons, etc), or having them flap the other way to what they are right now.

It just seems so wrong

I will add my post to that thread since my problem is with bad animation of Shattered Dragon Wings Cover after today’s patch.

But after today’s patch, the animation is broken and I am not the only one who see it that way, because my guild mate confirmed he has same problem. I took few screenshots of the broken animation:

Ew, the bazaar patch ruined their animation. I hope it’s a bug and if it isn’t then I’ll just use the holographic dragon wings instead.

I’m also very disapointed with the bugged/new wings animation since the Bazaar patch and waiting for a quick fix, because now it’s simply unnatural and ugly…
