Guild Wars 2

So, the shoulder armor on my female charr seems to be completely bugged since the patch. It no longer appears/disappears when you check or uncheck that box in the equipment window, dyes do nothing to it (have to dye the helmet to get the shoulders to change color, which was not the case before), and no matter what I do, the skin won’t change. Even if I equip completely different shoulders, it still shows me wearing the skin I’ve had since before the patch.

I can change shoulder skins just fine on my mesmer (sylvari), so I’m not sure if race has to do with it, but the original skin was the Dry Bones shoulderpiece from the WvW equipment vendor.

I can color every slot bright blue for the shoulder dye, and it will not change a thing –

It wasn’t like this before, and I can’t fool around with other skins right now, because I can’t get rid of this skin. I’ve even tried equipping other shoulders, but it doesn’t do anything. The skin stays no matter what.

Any idea how to fix this? I haven’t heard of anyone else having this bug, so I’m not sure if it’s just me.

Note: Right before posting this, I tried removing my shoulder armor (still showed me wearing it) and completely logging out. It still shows me with that skin on after restarting the client. I literally can’t get rid of it. Is it just this skin that’s bugged?

You might have to contact CS for assistance. I haven’t had any issues, nor have I seen any other posts like that. Have you tried changing maps? Gone to the Mists, or WvW, and tried? Just some random thoughts. Done a -repair of the client?

Its the helmet you’re wearing.

That helmet hides shoulder armor and has its own shoulder armor “appearance” built in to it. That’s why dying the helmet is affecting your shoulders as well, because they’re technically part of the helmet skin. If you remove / hide your helmet your regular shoulders will show up and function as normal.

^ what he said. That head piece shares the same shoulders as part of it. I know it’s odd, but that’s how it’s been since launch.
