Thought I’d flag this here because it appears to be a significant game bug.

We’ve heard from A-net officials that siege will disappear from map if it’s not ticked (used by a player) every 30 minutes.

We also know that befriending the quaggan on the borderland maps will send them to the nearest keep, and coupled with a storm event on the island on the lake will take out siege with lightning over a period of time at an enemies keep.

However, it appears that even “friendly” quaggan create this storm and lightning and take out allied siege. Allied quaggan are supposed to run to the nearest keep with the shaman and create a “healing rain” for allied players.

This isn’t happening. Instead they waddle up to the nearest keep, non-agro, and create a storm that deteriorates allied siege in the keep they’re outside of.

I’ve watched it happen over and over. We’ve flipped all the quaggan camps, there are no enemies attacking, we controlled the storm event on the island and lightning starts hitting siege (but not players) on the corresponding keep, destroying it over a period of 20 minutes, sometimes less.

It’s frustrating because we couldn’t figure out why this was happening — we had loyally been reticking siege, we’d been on top of the quaggans, and still siege would disappear.

This leaves defending borderlands at a disadvantage if siege you expect to stay there in preparation of defense suddenly disappears.

There is a definite bug with the quaggans, they should not be taking out siege if they’re allied to you. Please fix this. People are hesitant to spend money on siege if it’s just going to vanish for no reason.

Note: it appears to happen more persistently in the garrison, but have witnessed it happen at bay and hills as well.

This doesn’t happen on EB at all .. sometimes siege will stay for hours without anyone reticking it. We’ve monitored it closely.

Is there any way to just turn these features off until a fix is made?
