Q:

Is the Sigil of Bursting supposed to be the same as Sigil of Malice? Condition damage doesn’t exactly “burst,” so it seems like a bug.

On the other hand, maybe the developers wanted to provide a way that people could get two bonuses, one from Bursting and one from Malice.

(I searched, but didn’t see an existing post with this question.)

Apparently, Izzy mentioned during an interview that one sigil is supposed add condition duration and the other condition damage. No ETA for a fix.

Hey hey ^^ There’s a note on the dulfy section on new runes and sigils. As far as I can tell, player testing confirmed that it doesn’t give condition duration, and is a bugged tooltip. I’d keep checking there to see if someone figures it out before it’s fixed, but afaik no one knows what it does yet.

Well, the Sigil of Bursting has been updated. It no longer shares the same stats as the Sigil of Malice. Though I don’t expect many people to like what bonuses it has been given.

I find it odd that Major has two stat increases, while Superior and Minor only have one. Is this tool-tip still incorrect in what the sigils do? Or is this how it is now meant to be?

How can you change the effect of this Sigil from a +6% condition duration to a +6 condition damage ? Are you serious ?

Do you really know how these +6 condition damages are as useless as a small drop of water to extinguish a volcano ? No more than 0.5% of augmentation. Great !

I’m thinking they are supposed to be +6% Condition Damage, not +6 Condition Damage… +6 Condition Damage really isn’t all that much for a Superior Rune.

For example, if the weapon skill does 1000 Condition Damage, +6 Condition Damage would only be 1006 Condition Damage done… If it is actually +6% Condition Damage, then that would then cause 1060, though that still isn’t all that much of an increase.

It just seems a little odd for this to be the proper stat increase for these sigils. Maybe if minor to superior went 6%-9%-12%, or 9%-12%-15% they might be semi-useful, at least in my opinion.

Are there any condition damage focused players reading this that can voice their thoughts on how useful these sigils would be to your builds whether it is +6 or actually +6%? Does that difference really matter all that much to you in regards to if these sigils are useful to you?

+6% would increase my eles bleeding damage by 4.9 points.
