Hello there, I recently bought 2 dagger off the trading post and both had some sigil of more dmg to a creature type. Then I replaced each with a Topaz Lump and that worked fine, it just overwrote the sigil. Now I want to replace the Topaz Lump with a Major Sigil of Force but whenever I try to apply it absolutely nothing happens. I have tried applying it to a dagger in my inventory, equipped, and tried replacing it with another gem (which worked). I am playing a level 43 Charr Thief, and it does not matter if I am in group or not. I have tried doing this for the past like 5 levels as well.
