I have been getting piles of Silky Sand and opening them, on the side of my screen it shows the items I have gotten, but none of the items are appearing in my bag. I have been missing out on a lot of bloodstone dust from this issue, as well as good armor pieces.

Wow. I’ve opened several of them (well, not sure ‘opened’ is the right term, clicked on ‘piles’ of them is maybe a better term), and only received Geodes, so far. Usually, I get nothing.

Not sure why yours aren’t showing up in your inventory, though.

This sounds like the typical situation that results from the right side UI’s slow scrolling.
Basically what happens is you open/loot a bunch of stuff then proceed to open some loot bags on in this case Piles of Silky Sand. You see the stuff scrolling by and you think it came from the thing you just opened but that isn’t really the case. The other “issue” is that the items take some time to scroll but items appear in your inventory immediately. This can lead you to think that you are getting the items as they appear on the side but that is not the case. There has been a couple of times when I was wondering where my “other” lodestones where when opening some bags but in reality that was the only lodestone I got it just took a while to scroll there. I knew that was the case because I have a tab with Game messages enabled which shows stuff like loot pickup.
