The consumable item “Skale Venom” doesn’t seem to be working with my ranger’s short bow or axe. I thought it was just a low chance to apply weakness and vulnerability but after killing 30-40 enemies in different areas of the world I still have yet to get a single proc . However I tried using my great sword and long bow on ranger and it works just fine, usually working 1-3 times per enemy before they die. Not sure if it’s a bug or just the way the item works. Might be similar issues with other classes too or might just be weapon specific.

i have the same problem, with the sword, greatsword and longbow works fine, but with the shortbow never procs, i hope they fix it in the next patch (i am a ranger)

It is still not working. I just bought a handful.

I was actually just about to make a thread about this. I purchased a stack of them because I remember it used to work when I was playing my ranger so I bought some for my thief, well now it doesn’t work at all and I’m left with 240 very worthless consumables that i can’t even vendor.

To clarify, they do not work with dual pistols, didn’t work with any of the skills. It’s kind of sad because that was like 40s. I suppose we can just chock this up to the ocean of bugs that won’t be addressed.

Also doesn’t work for the thief shortbow skills, used all of them even through critical and it didn’t proc once.

What gives anet?

This bug needs a bit more exposure.

if people want to test it for themselves the way you get the item is you go to iron marshes and go to the waypoint near Bloodfin Lake, across the bridge from the ghosts is the garbage legion charr gathered around a campfire, just escort them, and then stick around after they finish the first event and a second will start shortly nearby where you fight off shadow scales. He becomes a merchant right after you win that event and sells the Skale Venom for 16 copper.

Never Worked on

• Sword
• Pistol (either hand)
• Shortbow

Anyone knows if it is still “working”? I’m a ranger and it doesn’t work with my longbow

Not working on my Rangers Shortbow atm.

Urgh, man. Wish I read this before I bought two stacks of this! Come on ANet, sort this one out!

I have a Ranger with shortbow and no problems with getting vulnerability, but weakness never appears.
