Guild Wars 2

Currently, there’s a problem getting the skill challenge at Hidden Lake to work. According to the wiki page, it says to “Defeat Restless Arboreal Spirit” and also “This is currently not working”. I’ve also tried asking the players at Hidden Lake and they have no idea how to get the skill point too. So I’m assuming this has to be some kind of bug, unless I’m missing something really important.

Yeah, I got this skill point on my first character and I just got to the area last night with another character but the npc is nowhere to be seen.

I’m experiencing this too. It’s my last point for map completion.
I’ve done it before on another character, but now it’s not working.

Seems like more people would be complaining about this, seeing as how it’s preventing 100% map completion.

Reported ingame with “blocking progress”. The spirit is with green name and not possible to talk to him to initiate combat.

Still bugged….

I completed this skill challenge this morning without a problem. The spirit was there, I received the prompt to talk, and interaction worked properly. I am on the Dragonbrand server and was not on overflow. This was my first time completing the skill challenge with my main character. Following my completion, I witnessed another player complete the challenge while doing a nearby quest. I hope these details help to narrow down when the bug occurs.

I cannot interact with the spirit, but there are about 8-ish ghosts about all with “problems” you have to discover. They all also seem to be connected somehow ( 2 are husband-wife, one is a trader, one was killed for a bad trade deal, etc.) and also seem connected to the area (some talk of Koa eyes another spider legs, which both Koas and spiders are present). Trying to figure out if it’s a test then the spirit is interactable. Some who have just walked up and completed the task may have walked in when someone else finished the test and the spirit was ready. Just a thought.

I just tried this today. Also bugged for me.

Restless Arboreal Spirit is around, but I cannot talk to him.
