Guild Wars 2

It’s been happening a lot since the patch. I’ll change my skills on my main, usually positions 6-8, as I change those between PvP and PvE, and log out and when I come back (either switching between characters in the same game instance or leaving the game) they are back to what they were before the last time I switched them.

I couldn’t quite pin point what was happening, but this last time, I ‘think’ what happened was this:

1. Was in WvW with my 6-8 choices.
2. Had finished up WvW and was going to switch to another character.
3. Changed my 6-8 back to my ‘Open World’ set.
4. ‘Log Out’ to character select (knowing I’d be back in LH the next time I brought this character in)
5. Played my Necro for a bit
6. Did a ‘Log Out’ to bring in my main
7. Logged into LH (expected) and my 6-8 skills were flipped ‘back’ to what I had been using in WvW before switching them

Actually I think I did pretty much the exact same thing last night (well really early morning Friday) but I was on my Ranger and logged out from wvw to play on my ele and then a few others in pve, then went back to my ranger and my 6-8 which I routinely change between pve and wvw had switched back to my pve setup without me doing anything.

The last patch introduced separate skill bars for WvW and PvE. If you switched the skills while still in WvW before logging out, you won’t see those changes when you log back in until you go back into WvW.

I didn’t see this in the patch notes, but it was teased by this dev post:

I tried it out after the patch on tuesday, and seemed to be working correctly for me.

Ok, that works then, I read through the patch notes when they came out and they didn’t say anything about it so wasn’t sure if that was suppose to happen or not, thanks for the info Stitch. Nice change imo.
