That was the reason why we had the condition cap ^^

However personally i haven’t experienced any skill lags on the world bosses i made
so far. And Karka Queen has always been a big frame-lag fest for me.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

It’s not even normal skill lag for me…
Today I did the daily golem and there were tons of people around.
It felt like the game randomly decided that a certain skill would become totally unresponsive. One minute I could use my autoattack and heal normally, while I could hammer my weaponskill 5 without getting any reaction at all. The next minute it would be the other way around or a totally different skill.
It’s pretty weird…

One thing I’ve noticed will world bosses is that the worst skill lag/refusal to activate is consistently with the same skills.

On my ele most weapon skills(Meteor Shower likes to cancel itself), heal, attune swap, some utilities will continue working with delay. However, Arcane Wave will almost never activate. Arcane shield is almost as bad.

For my warrior, For Great Justice seems to be most consistent in it’s refusal to activate.

My ranger’s Quickening Zephyr will refuse to activate after repeated tries, while Lightning Reflexes usually works after a short lag delay.

These aren’t single instances of a skill behaving this way. It’s reproducible pretty much daily at boss fights.

I don’t see any way my PC, network card, firewall, router, or ISP could be responsible for that. None of those are able to distinguish one skill from another. That skill is just a string of data in a packet, no different than any other the GW2 client is sending out. If any of these things were responsible, the same behavior would be seen across different skills, not always the same ones.

The two things that are capable of deciding to treat that data differently are the game client itself and the game server. My guess would be that the servers, which are clearly getting bogged down during these events, have some sort of priority queuing that differentiates certain skills/actions from each other. The result being that auto attacks and other attack skills keep mostly functioning, while other skills are delayed or ignored.

The servers get so overloaded that the whole map runs at 90% speed, or even lower like 80% speed. Such reduced speeds do not reflect any timers/countdowns on the client side. So when you’re auto attacking, the activation and recharge time is a bit slower, while skills with long recharge time has a longer recharge time.
