There are so many times where I’m not facing just right to fire shots off my Long Bow with my ranger, and clicking Point Blank Shot or Hunter’s Shot doesn’t even fire off and goes straight to a full cool down (12-15 seconds). But with my Greatsword I can be running in the opposite direction as someone and do Crippling Throw behind my back flawlessly.

This also seems to happen if get immobilized and I’m not moving (obviously) and I target someone but I’m facing 90 degrees the wrong way. My character wont twist 90 degrees and fire, or even make the animation as if its trying to do something, it will just simply put my ability on full cooldown.

Honestly I have no problem with my character not firing the shot, but the full cool down is overkill and really doesn’t make sense. If the shot doesn’t fire, not even an active animation, then why is there a cooldown???

I am sure. It’s by design.

As I am understand – If you don’t have target – the shot fires to the ground.

Yea one of the many bugs related to immobilise.

Well the whole point of a cooldown is to prevent spamming over abilities… if the ability doesn’t fire there should be no cooldown PERIOD. This is super annoying, and has gotten me killed more times than I can count in PvP, as well as some PvE situations.

The fact that I can fling a Greatsword behind my back no problem but I can’t fire off my bow, really makes my ranger minus the range… making it an r… its a kittening R…. but seriously this is a bug for a long time and it needs fixing

I guess its just wishful thinking then…
