Hi,

After a couple of crashes in the last few days I decided to reinstall my graphics drivers today. Now, several seconds after spawning in game the screen either goes blank or another single colour; it seems to display thin bands vertically, if that helps. Music still plays in the background but there’s no sound effects to suggest I’m still moving around so it seems like a hang, of sorts.

No other reproduction steps; happens 100% of the time, regardless of the character I use to load in, or the location.

Thanks.
Let me know if there’s a log I can attach, or something.

Seems like you have a corrupted file. Try a repair or unfortunately you will have to re install again.

Yep, a reinstall seems to have fixed it – thanks for the help, dude.

Nope, scrap that, the hangs are back. Could be entirely unrelated but last time it worked (fresh install) I wasn’t in the PvP lobby. I logged into PvP with a different character and boom goes the dynamite.

EDIT
OK I’ve found other games it’s happening in, so it could be drivers (but I’ve tried the beta and they don’t solve the problem) or the dreaded hardware failure, which is baws because I’ve only had it 9 months. Probably my fault for OC.

OK, one last comment. Problem fixed, it was a driver issue.

In case it helps anyone:
Reinstalling my old drivers didn’t help
Installing different ones didn’t either
Removing them and going with the default Win7 ones worked fine (stayed with this for a few hours)
Then decided to reboot a couple of times and installed the same drivers I started with and everything works fine…so it must have been a dirty driver uninstall
